Hello, Ive had the mirena in for around 1 1/2 years. Ive always had irregular periods but its still happening.

I think it was this year I had it for a whole month. My husband thinks it goes for an average of 10 days (dont know if hes exaggerating)and I even bleed a couple of days after I finish.

I do know many women who have had this inserted and are doing fine. No check ups etc. Ok so a friend of a friend has gotten pregnant but how often does that happen. My Gynie wants me to check up every 6 months which I have not but I am going to soon.

All these horror stores are pretty freaky and Im thinking twice about removing it just in case it does happen in the future but I also think people always write about the bad things ...never the good things.

I have tried different types of contraceptions and in theory this one has to be the best or maybe just get my tubes tied because I definately do not want anymore kids.
